Newly released body camera footage shows the moment Florida cops stormed Citibank’s campus during a deadly shooting, hunting for the gunman, before a cop announced, “Shooter is down.”
Chaotic video shows law enforcement responding to Wednesday’s shooting in Tampa that left a woman dead, before an armed security guard fatally shot the shirtless, obese gunman, Fox News Digital reported.
In footage released by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy is heard asking bystanders for a description of the suspect as officers arrive at the sprawling corporate park where bank employees were eating lunch.
The deputy then reports that a vehicle had crashed into the building, and that the suspect was inside the cafeteria.
“Shooter is down,” an officer declares, before video shows deputies escorting civilians out of the building.
Authorities also released new 911 audio capturing a caller reporting gunfire at Citibank, as authorities coordinate their response, including how to enter the building.
Dispatchers first received calls about shots fired at 12:11 p.m., with deputies arriving within one minute, according to the sheriff’s office.
Citibank analyst Adara Evans, 22, was having her lunch in an outdoor courtyard when she heard a loud bang and saw a gray car crash through a fence and plough into tables, she told the Tampa Bay Times.
The gunman “exited the car, approached the female with a rifle, and she was shot,” HCSO Chief Deputy Frank Losat told reporters.
Evans, whose sister also works on campus, ran into a nearby building before hearing gunshots.
“I just thought to myself, ‘I have to find my sister to make sure she’s OK,” she said.
Authorities praised the work of an armed Citibank security guard who shot the unidentified suspect during a shootout.
The gunman was later pronounced dead at Tampa General Hospital.

“Thanks to the brave actions by the security team on-site and more than 365 deputies, this unhinged suspect was stopped before he could harm anyone else,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement.
Four other people were injured, but no further details were given about their injuries or conditions.
The victim has not been identified while police investigate a possible motive, and it was not immediately known if she and the suspect knew each other.
“We are very fluid at this stage in the investigation. This is a sad day for everyone involved,” Losat told reporters.
