Freed Hamas hostage Noa Argamani throws party to ‘celebrate life’

Freed Hamas captive Noa Argamani held a large, bittersweet summer party with family and friends to celebrate her “return to life” after the 246 days she spent in Gaza before her daring rescue.

Nearly 11 months after Hamas’ brutal attack on the Supernova music festival on Oct. 7, Argamani, 26, welcomed a brief moment to “celebrate life” on Friday as she called on the terror group to free the remaining hostages, including her boyfriend Avinatan Or, the Times of Israel reports.

“It’s not ideal that we’re having this party while there’s still a war in the background,” she told the crowd of loved ones in a video aired by Channel 12, “while our soldiers are on the battlefield, while there are still 109 hostages there in Gaza, including my partner, Avinatan Or, who we miss terribly.

“But at the same time, I’m happy to celebrate life itself with all of you,” she added. “To remember that we have to value every day in this life, we have to celebrate every moment that we’re here.”

During the party, Argamani could be seen dancing with her dad, Yaakov, as attendees hoisted up the duo, with a large banner of Or hanging overhead labeled, “We will dance again.”

The party also paid tribute to Argamani’s mother, Liora, who died from brain cancer weeks after finally being reunited with her daughter.

Argamani became the face of Hamas’ attack on the Supernova music festival when video of her went viral as she screamed for her boyfriend while a gunman rode away with her on a motorcycle.

After 246 days in captivity, Argamani was one of four Israelis freed in a daring daylight mission on June 8 that saw Israeli troops and police raid a Hamas compound in a hail of gunfire to rescue the hostages.

Since her freedom, Argamani has become one of the most vocal advocates for a hostage exchange deal between Israel and Hamas, seeking to free Or and the remaining captives.

Friday night’s party took place after she returned from speaking with G7 diplomats at a summit in Tokyo, where she recounted the horrors of Oct. 7 and her days in Gaza.

During her speech in Japan, Argamani said it was a “miracle” she survived the ordeal, including an alleged Israeli bombing that occurred at one of the places she was being held.
