Rock star Jon Bon Jovi helped save a woman who was in a state of severe emotional distress this week when he happened to be in the right place at the right time.
He was filming a music video for his song “The People’s House” on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge in Nashville when he noticed a woman who was standing on the ledge, appearing ready to jump.
The Tennessean reported that Bon Jovi responded to the woman by walking over to her with a production assistant and greeting her.
The two helped secure the woman on the other side of the rail before helping her back over onto the main part of the bridge. Once safe, the musician gave her a hug.

“A shout out to @jonbonjovi & his team for helping a woman on the Seigenthaler Ped Bridge Tue night,” Metro Nashville Police Department officials posted on X. “Bon Jovi helped persuade her to come off the ledge over the Cumberland River to safety.”
Chief John Drake added in the statement, “It takes all of us to help keep each other safe.”

Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea, founded the JBJ Soul Foundation in 2006 to “break the cycle of hunger, poverty and homelessness through developing partnerships, creating programs and providing grant funding to support innovative community benefit organizations.”
“It is the organization’s goal to recognize and maximize the human potential in those affected by hunger, poverty and homelessness by offering assistance in establishing programs that provide food and affordable housing while supporting social services and job training programs,” the foundation says.
