Caitlin Clark continues to etch her name in the history books.

The Indiana Fever phenom set the WNBA single-season assists record on Friday night when she recorded her 317th of the season in a 78-74 loss to the Las Vegas Aces, surpassing the record set by Alyssa Thomas (Connecticut Sun) last year.

With under five minutes to go, Clark, 22, bounced an inbounds pass to a charging Kelsey Mitchell, who drove to the hoop and sunk a layup, giving her five assists on the night.

This comes a little less than two months after she set the single-game assists record (19) in a loss to the Dallas Wings.

At the end of August, she previously set the WNBA rookie record for 3-pointers made in a season.

She recorded six assists overall in the half but struggled mightily from the field, going 0-for-5 and failing to register a point.

Clark did step up in the second half, notching 18 points and finishing the game with nine assists and eight rebounds.

She now has 321 assists — and counting — with the Fever having two more games on the regular-season docket.

Chelsea Gray and Kelsey Plum scored 21 and 18, points, respectively, to lead the Aces.

A’ja Wilson added 15 points.
