College football live scores, games, updates: LSU at South Carolina, Oregon at Oregon State and more

Week 3 doesn’t look very appetizing on the surface. There’s just one matchup between ranked teams on Saturday, so it’s a great weekend to channel surf.

It’s also possibly a great weekend for an upset no one sees coming. There’s always a week or two every year without a lot of standout games. And more often than not, a week that we all think will be straightforward turns out to produce a shocking result. Will that happen this weekend? We’re about to find out.

Here’s the afternoon game we’re keeping a close eye on Saturday.

Time: 3:30 p.m. | TV: Fox | Line: 16.5 | Total: 50.5

This rivalry continues even though Oregon is now a member of the Big Ten and Oregon State and Washington State are in the Pac-12 wilderness (though they did get some encouraging news this week). Oregon has dropped from No. 3 at the start of the season to No. 9 thanks to two close wins. The Beavers will be hoping to knock down their hated rivals at home, especially after the Ducks bolted from the Pac-12.

Live58 updates

  • Touchdown Oregon

The Ducks are on the board after a masterful opening drive. Jordan James caps off it off with a short TD run.

  • Touchdown LSU!

The Tigers take the lead on a 2-yard touchdown run by Josh Williams on third-and-goal. There’s just 1:12 left in the game and LSU is up 36-33.

  • Oregon stymies OSU’s opening drive

The rivalry game is underway in Corvallis, where Oregon State was looking to get on the board first before this happened:

  • LSU driving for win

LSU has the ball and is near the end zone after a Kyren Lacy catch makes it first-and-goal. There’s under two minutes left in the game.

  • Final: Missouri 27, BC 21

Brady Cook keeps it on a crucial third-down play and the Tigers are able to run out the clock. Missouri survives a scare and gets a win over a Top 25 team in Boston College.

  • So we’re at the two-minute warning in both games. Missouri is trying to run out the clock on BC while LSU is trailing with the ball against South Carolina.

  • Touchdown BC!

Thomas Castellanos finds Kamari Morales for a 38-yard touchdown to cut into Missouri’s lead. There’s just under 4 minutes left in the game and BC trails 27-21.

  • FSU loses to Memphis

Florida State’s season just went from bad to worse with a home loss to Memphis. Here’s the final play of the game.

  • Final: Alabama 42, Wisconsin 10

  • LSU fumbles it away

What a brutal time for a fumbled snap. The Tigers are trailing in the fourth quarter and Garrett Nussmeier clearly wasn’t ready for this snap. The Gamecocks would get a field goal out of it to go up 33-29.

  • Interception Mizzou

BC’s Thomas Castellanos makes another errant throw and Missouri’s Dreyden Norwood comes down with

  • End of 3Q: Missouri 24, BC 14

The Tigers are up two possessions as we head into the final quarter. Brady Cook has started to find Luther Burden; the receiver has over 100 yards and a TD so far.

  • Touchdown Gamecocks!

Raheim Sanders just sprinted by the LSU defense for a 66-yard touchdown run. Once he got outside, he was gone. What a run by Sanders!

  • Touchdown LSU!

The Tigers have taken the lead! Garrett Nussmeier finds Mason Taylor in the corner of the end zone for an easy pass and catch to put LSU on top. The Tigers have outscored the Gamecocks 29-7 since the home team went up 17-0 early.

  • Touchdown LSU

Caden Durham finds the end zone again for the Tigers, but the 2-point conversion is no good so they’re trailing 24-22 in Columbia, South Carolina.

  • Touchdown Alabama

The Crimson Tide take advantage of another fumble by Wisconsin and Jalen Milroe scores another TD to extend Alabama’s lead. That’ll just about do it at Camp Randall.

  • LSU stopped at goal line

The Tigers had a shot at the end zone and potentially tie the game but were stopped on a calamitous fourth-and-short at the goal line.

  • Touchdown Wisconsin

With backup quarterback Braedyn Locke at the helm, the Badgers just cobbled together a respectable 17-play, 75-yard touchdown drive capped off by a Locke pass to Will Pauling.

  • FSU struggling against Memphis

Florida State’s disastrous year looks like it’s going to get worse, but there is a glimmer of hope in the second half after this touchdown run from Roydell Williams

  • Halftime: Missouri 17, Boston College 14

The Tigers are able to work themselves into position to attempt a 55-yard field goal attempt and Blake Craig drills it as time expires in the half!
