It was a scary day for chain gangs all over the NFL.
The third quarter of the Bears-Texans “Sunday Night Football” game in Houston was paused after a member of the chain gang tripped and hit his head violently on the ground.
He was subsequently tended to on the field and carted off the field.
He was awake and appeared to be alert as he was carted away.
This all comes after the Raiders’ 26-23 win over the Ravens earlier Sunday was paused while a member of Baltimore’s medical staff administered CPR to a member of the chain gang, according to multiple reports.
“A member of the chain gang crew collapsed,” the Ravens said in a statement. “He was immediately attended to by medical personnel. Upon leaving the field, he was alert and responsive. He’s being taken to a local hospital.”
Now, a second NFL operations employee has required medical attention.
