Hamas terrorists tout Oct. 7 as ‘glorious day of success’ as Israel mourns on 2nd anniversary of massacre

Hamas terrorists touted the Oct. 7, 2023, attack as a “glorious day of success,” taunting Israel on Tuesday as thousands in the Jewish state mourn the second anniversary of the massacre.

The terror group hailed the unprecedented assault that killed more than 1,200 people as a “meaningful turning point” in the region, all while condemning the war it triggered in Gaza, The Times of Israel reported.

“Two years on, and the enemy is still continuing its barbaric war against the steadfast Palestinian people,” Hamas said in a statement, according to a TOI translation.

“And continues its massacres against innocent civilians, while the world is silent and the Arab countries abandon them in an unprecedented way,” the group added, while keeping silent of its role in the widespread destruction of Gaza.

Along with its twisted statement celebrating the terrorist attack, Hamas also memorialized their leaders who have been killed in the war so far, including Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, Saleh al-Arouri, and Mohammed Deif.

Sinwar was the known architect of the Oct. 7 terrorist attack, with Deif commanding the terror group’s military division to carry out the bloody assault that also saw 251 people kidnapped.

Hamas also allegedly fired a rocket from Gaza on Tuesday morning, with the missile landing near the border and resulting in no injuries, according to the Israel Defense Forces.

While Hamas celebrated the barbaric attack, thousands in Israel gathered in the southern city of Reim on Tuesday to mourn the victims of Oct. 7.

Reim, located near the Gaza border, hosted the Nova music festival, where Hamas gunmen descended on concertgoers and slaughtered nearly 400 people

Alon Muskinov, 28, who was at the festival and lost three of his closest friends, was among those paying tribute to the fallen ahead of the anniversary ceremony in Tel Aviv.

“We don’t need a specific day, because we live this every day anew,” he told The Associated Press.

Yehuda Rahmani, whose daughter Sharon — a police officer at the festival — was also among those killed, said the pain was compounded over the lack of answers.

Rahmani has yet to meet someone who witnessed his daughter’s final moments, nor has he received a satisfying answer from the government over the security failures that allowed such an attack to happen in the first place.

“When you don’t know what happened, it makes it so much harder,” he said.
