Two teens – including a girl seen wearing a distinctive pink shower-cap looking bonnet – were busted for taking an empty Queens train on a joyride and crashing it, cops said.
The 17-year-olds – both of whom were not identified because they are minors – were nabbed Wednesday and charged with criminal mischief and reckless endangerment in connection to the dangerous Sept. 12 stunt at the Briarwood subway station, police said.
They are accused of boarding the train just after midnight and operating it for a short distance before crashing, cops said.
No one was hurt, authorities said.
Days after the crime, cops released footage of the then-wanted duo strolling through an unoccupied train car.
In addition to her headwear, the teen girl also donned a crop top, hotpants and bag – all pink, the video shows.
The boy wore a blue tank top, red shorts and carried a black backpack.
The girl turned herself in with a family member, cops said. Police had no information on how the boy wound up in cuffs.
It’s unclear how the pair found their way onto the train or how they were able to access its controls.
