Mark Sanchez mugshot revealed as he limps out of Indianapolis hospital and into jail

Mark Sanchez has been booked into an Indianapolis jail on Sunday morning after he was finally released from the hospital — more than a week after he allegedly assaulted an elderly truck driver in an altercation that resulted in the former Jets quarterback being stabbed.

Video shows a limping Sanchez, 38, with his arm in a sling, entering the Marion County Jail to be fingerprinted and have his mugshot taken, Fox 59 reported.

Leaving the jail, he told reporters he was “focused on his recovery,” as he thanked first responders and the hospital staff, further video shows.

He can now leave the state of Indiana after he was charged with felony battery and several misdemeanors following the shocking incident in Indianapolis on the morning of Oct. 4.

Sanchez, who was in Naptown to cover last Sunday’s Colts-Raiders NFL clash, allegedly body-slammed a 69-year-old grease truck driver after confronting him for blocking the alley.

The retired QB was also reportedly seen behaving erratically on surveillance video in the half an hour before the attack.

Video showed him stumbling in the streets before confronting the truck driver.

Perry Tole, the alleged victim, said he stabbed Sanchez in the chest in self-defense after he feared the ex-pro athlete was going to kill him.

He was found with a deep cut to his cheek in the alley after Sanchez allegedly attacked him after climbing into his truck.

Surveillance video shows the pair circling the truck before the fight, with Tole telling cops he used pepper spray on Sanchez before pulling out a knife when that failed to stop him.

Tole has sued Sanchez and his employer, Fox Sports, which put him on leave.

He claimed Sanchez stank of booze during their encounter close to Loughmiller’s Pub and Eatery in downtown Indianapolis, just a stone’s throw from the State Capitol.

One of the pub’s employees treated Sanchez’s injuries at the scene before an ambulance arrived.

Authorities are seeking the results of toxicology tests to look for drugs in Sanchez’s blood, Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears said at an Oct. 6 press conference, in which he confirmed that he was facing a Level 5 Felony charge for battery resulting in serious bodily injury.

Tole’s lawsuit alleged that Fox Sports “knew or should have known about Defendant Sanchez’s unfitness as an employee, propensity for drinking and/or harmful conduct.”

Sanchez, who was selected fifth overall by the Jets in the 2009 NFL draft, is next scheduled to be in court on Nov. 5 for a pretrial conference at 1 p.m.
