Turkey legs were happily eaten following the Cowboys’ 31-28 win over the Chiefs on Thanksgiving Day.
Dak Prescott jogged off the field while taking a big chomp of one heading into a locker room that was blaring with music.
Jerry Jones was seen carrying one of his own and later doing his media scrub with it in hand.
It was an absolute party and true holiday in Dallas.
Jones couldn’t think of a better feeling from another two-game stretch for the Cowboys since Prescott was named the starter in 2016 after beating the Super Bowl representatives in back-to-back games.
“Under the circumstances, I don’t remember a better two games back-to-back here at home,” the team owner said, referencing last week’s 21-point rally against the Eagles. “And these guys played inspired.”
Prescott threw 27 receptions for 320 yards with two touchdowns with one interception to power the Cowboys’ comeback win after trailing, 14-7, in the first quarter.
CeeDee Lamb also had a big game, including a 51-yard catch in the Cowboys’ final drive of the game that ended in a field goal to put Dallas ahead by 10 points with 5:16 remaining.
He caught seven passes for 112 yards and one touchdown.
The strong efforts put the Cowboys (6-5-1) over .500 for the first time this season and gave them their third straight victory, which is a first since 2023.
Dallas’ season now has some life after they beat both teams from the 2025 Super Bowl, which included a franchise record for the largest comeback (21 points) in their 24-21 win over the Eagles.
“On top of where we’ve put ourselves right before these games and just the place that we’re in of having to get these wins against two elite teams,” Prescott said.
“I mean, the two teams that played in the Super Bowl last year. Last year’s last year, but you’re talking about two organizations that obviously know how to win, and we just beat them both in two great games.”

There is a newfound confidence within the team while they’ve earned a relevant position in the race for the playoffs.
They sit in the ninth spot in the NFC, trailing the seventh-seeded 49ers (7-4).
“We’ll play anybody, anywhere,” coach Brian Schottenheimer said. “You can see that by what we’ve done the last couple of weeks. The moment’s not too big for us.”
Things have turned around fast in Dallas since 27-17 home loss to the Cardinals in Week 9.
The Cowboys fell to 3-5-1 but just a day later, they stunned the league in trading for defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and linebacker Logan Wilson at the trade deadline.
Defensive end Marshawn Kneeland committed suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound three days later and the 24-year-old’s No. 94 is branded on all players’ helmets.
The Cowboys have won all three games since while handling adversity, proving to be resilient and a force as the season nears December.
