49ers fan busted after weird, slow-motion wreck spree

A 49ers fan somehow managed to turn a 5 mph drive into a demolition derby, repeatedly crashing his car before ultimately flipping it onto its side in Santa Cruz, California.

Wild video of the slow-motion wreck shows the driver traveling at what appears to be roughly 5 mph as his car swerves across the roadway and smacks into the side of a bridge — knocking a piece off the vehicle.

But the bizarre drive was only getting started.

Moments later, he makes a left turn and drives up a dirt embankment, where the car crashes into a tree and begins letting off smoke.

Rather than calling it quits, the driver reverses away from the tree and tries to drive off, but doesn’t get very far.

The car veers into a telephone pole and finally tips over, bringing the chaotic, low-speed journey to an abrupt end.

A stunned motorist who had been traveling behind the driver then approaches the overturned vehicle to check on him.

“Are you okay, man? I saw you run into all kinds of stuff,” the bystander asks as the driver hangs upside down inside the wreck.

The man — sporting a San Francisco 49ers jersey — appears disoriented and his speech sounds slurred in the footage, though it is unclear whether he was intoxicated.

“Shut up,” the driver responds.

He then has one pressing question for the stranger who stopped to help him.

“Are you a cop?” he asks.

It was not immediately clear whether the driver was injured, arrested or cited following the crash.
