The speculation around Aaron Judge’s injury status can finally end after the Yankees delivered some positive news.

The three-time AL MVP underwent scans and has been cleared for light activity, including outdoor running and upper-body resistance, Yankees manager Aaron Boone said on Tuesday before a game against the Cardinals in The Bronx.

“Oh, I’ll be back this season. I don’t know why I wouldn’t be,” Judge said. “That was always the plan to come back — sooner than later, definitely — but I never had a thought of not playing this year.”

Judge has been out since May 31 with a stress fracture in his right rib and the Yankees’ offense has been one of the worst in baseball in his absence.

“I just got the scan (Monday),” Judge said. “The minute they said, ‘alright, we’re going to start running,’ I said, ‘okay, I’ll see you outside.’”
