Aaron Rodgers didn’t shy away from self-criticism after a rough performance in a 23-17 loss to the Vikings, but more concerning for the Jets is the status of Rodgers’ ankle.
Rodgers told reporters that he has a low ankle sprain, though it’s not clear whether that happened on Sunday or was something he’d been dealing with.
Rodgers limped off the field after a third-quarter sack, but quickly returned to the game without missing a play.
He had been dealing with knee issues, which led the Jets to activate third-stringer Adrian Martinez from the practice squad for Sunday’s game.
Though Rodgers made it through the whole game, he struggled for much of it, throwing a trio of picks — one of which was returned for a touchdown and another of which ended the game.
“That was below my standard,” Rodgers told reporters.
Rodgers finished 29-for-54 with 244 yards and two touchdowns.
The Jets couldn’t run the ball at all, rushing for just 36 yards on 14 carries.
