A Northern California city is asking for help hunting a sex fiend accused of attacking a shopper inside an arts and craft store.
The Gilroy Police Department posted two pictures on social media Thursday of the suspect who police said was involved in a sexual battery inside the craft store on June 18.
Cops said he fled the store before they showed up following the alleged attack.
The person is described as a 5’4” to 5’5” tall, medium build Hispanic male with short hair. He was last seen wearing black basketball-style shorts and a light-colored short sleeve shirt.
Pictures posted online showed the suspect inside a store carrying clothes.
Authorities said they need the public’s help in identifying the person suspected of this vile act.

Commenters on the department’s social media page said the man looked familiar.
“He looks familiar. I’ve helped him at my place of employment. The store I work for is next to Verizon. That’s unfortunate,” one person wrote.
