At least six people were injured, two critically, in a shooting near the food court at the Mall of Louisiana on Thursday afternoon.
The six victims were rushed to a local hospital. An additional triage site was set up at the Baton Rouge mall, WAFB reported.
Police suspect there are one or two shooters at large, the outlet reported.
Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry confirmed the “active shooter scene” just before 3 p.m.
“Sharon and I are praying for those affected and are grateful for a quick response by our law enforcement officials,” he wrote on X.
