The Bears’ Kyler Gordon is healthy enough to work out, at the very least.

One day after Chicago general manager Ryan Poles casted doubt that Gordon, who missed spring practices and all of training camp with a calf injury, would play this season, the defensive back emerged on social media training with rehab specialist Foot Doctor Moe.

Gordon appeared to be testing out his calf with lunges and jumping drills, and even broke out into a full-blown sprint in the short Instagram clip.

Poles said Tuesday that he had “hope” when asked if Gordon would play for the Bears again.

“I don’t know,” Poles replied. “I would hope so. I still have hope there. He’s going to have to continue to work hard and come back to play football again.”

Poles seemed to indicate that Gordon was working out with people outside the Bears’ training staff as part of his rehab.

“Some of these guys, they also have other people that they work with too,” Poles said. “But yeah, he’s working. … We’re not progressing as fast as we’d like. That’s really all I have to say.”

Gordon, who signed a three-year, $40 million contract extension before last season, is on the physically unable to perform list, meaning he will miss at least the first four games of the year.

A second-round pick in 2022, Gordon made an immediate impact for the Bears, intercepting three passes during his rookie year and two more the following season.

He started in 13 games in 2024 before injuries took hold last season, when he played in just three regular season games thanks to calf and groin injuries.
