No team is getting more love than the Texans after the NFL’s Week 1 action.
C.J. Stroud and Co. garnered more Super Bowl bets than any other team at DraftKings Sportsbook football’s return last Thursday.
The Texans are currently +1300 to win the Lombardi Trophy, which are the sixth-best odds in the league behind the Chiefs (+475), 49ers (+550), Eagles (+1000), Lions (+1000) and Ravens (+1200).
Houston came into the season with sky-high expectations after stunning the football world by winning the AFC South and reaching the divisional round with a rookie quarterback in Stroud and rookie head coach in DeMeco Ryans leading the team.
The Texans were roughly even odds to win the division for the second straight season before Week 1.
They’re even heavier favorites after taking down the Colts, moving to -160 at DraftKings.
Sunday’s game between the divisional rivals was a thriller, which ended with the Texans securing the road win 29-27 behind Stroud, two touchdown catches from Stefon Diggs, and 159 yards on the ground from Joe Mixon.
With the win, Stroud also remained in the thick of the NFL MVP race.
Stroud (+900) currently trails only Patrick Mahomes (+400) and Josh Allen (+500) on the odds board at DraftKings.
