A brute bludgeoned an elderly man with a baseball bat during a Wednesday evening spat over a parking spot in Queens, police sources said.
Michael Magill, 51, clashed with a 72-year-old man over parking at the residential corner of Austin Street and 77th Avenue in Forest Hills around 6:50 p.m., authorities and sources said.
The feud turned violent when Magill bashed the senior in the head with the bat, according to the sources.
The older man was treated at the scene for a bump on his head and was listed in stable condition, cops and sources said.
Magill, who lives a couple blocks away from where the spat occurred, was arrested at the scene and charged with assault on a victim 65 or older – a felony, cops said.
The violent crime came weeks after two heartless attackers beat a Bronx fruit vendor to death with a baseball bat – apparently with no provocation, according to authorities and sources.
Leslie Sanchez, 56, died two days after the ruthless crime, cops said.
Suspects Romel Jarrett, 37, and Terrence Downes, 44, were arrested prior to Sanchez’s death and charged with second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault, which will likely be upgraded next month, the Bronx DA’s Office said.
