Hero

Dylan Darling sent St. John’s past Kansas at the buzzer with a right-handed layup. The southpaw point guard received the inbounds pass near half-court with 3.9 seconds left and drove past Jayhawks guard Elmarko Jackson to the rim. The basket represented his only points of the second-round contest.

Zero

Tre White, Kansas’ starting wing, was held to four points on 2-for-6 shooting and committed three turnovers. The Jayhawks needed more out of their second-leading scorer.
