Cat miraculously survives 3 weeks trapped in sofa during family’s cross-country move

Let meow out!

A cat miraculously survived three weeks stuck in a couch that she hid in when her owners packed up and moved cross-country.

The Hanson family says they were left distraught when their feline Sunny-Loo suddenly vanished just as movers arrived to help shift them from Washington state to Colorado last month.

“Poor Sunny, she got scared, and in the past when she’s scared, she runs and hides,” dad Andy Hanson told local outlet KKTV.

“We bought a little carrier for her so she can come on the airplane with us and everything. … And then we didn’t know where she was.”

Hanson, his wife, Kristen, and their two daughters, Hannah and Adalyn, searched high and low but were ultimately forced to leave without their beloved pet.

“It was hard on my heart, and I was really sad,” Hannah, 12, said.

Despite family and friends in Washington keeping up the search, the family said they had started to lose hope they would ever lay eyes on Sunny-Loo again.

That is, until their belongings finally arrived — and the girls took a seat on the sofa bed.

“We heard a meow!” Hannah said.

The cat had to spend three days in an animal ICU recovering before being reunited with her family.

They quickly found an emaciated Sunny-Loo stuck in a hole inside the sofa.

“I thought this is crazy. It’s been three weeks,” Hanson said.
