Cardi B just purchased a $3 million Rolex from a viral celebrity jeweler who stands accused of helping steal nearly $5 million in Hermes Birkin bags and bling from an elderly Florida woman.

Eric Mavani, who goes by Eric the Jeweler online, last week sold the rapper an ultra-rare “Barbie” Rolex Daytona, which features pink luxury gemstones and an 18-karat gold case.

Mavani’s star-studded Instagram with over 400,000 followers features snaps of him with celebs including Tom Brady, Drake and Kim Kardashian.

But court records revealed that he’s one of four men accused of ripping off Miami-based luxury bag seller Debra Kent in an elaborate wire-transfer scheme to steal Hermès Birkin bags, jewelry and apparel, according to a lawsuit Kent filed in Miami-Dade County Circuit Court.

Mavani allegedly helped celebrity car broker RD William Whittington — the star of the “Million Dollar Wheels” television series and main defendant of the 2024 lawsuit — take advantage of Kent while she was in a vulnerable state, manipulating her into handing over more than 50 luxury handbags, according to the lawsuit seeking $13.8 million in damages.

Whittington had been a longtime customer of Kent when she fell so ill that she had to be placed in a medically induced coma, according to the complaint. It’s unclear what Kent was suffering from.

While recovering, Whittington requested about $5 million worth of high end merchandise. When it came time for the purchase, he allegedly told her that a wire transfer was underway.

Whittington allegedly gave Mavani a portion of this massive order — roughly 23 Hermès bags valued at about $1.5 million — because he owed him money, according to court papers.

“The amounts alleged to be paid by [Mavani] to Whittington, even if true, were a fraction of the value of the inventory,” the complaint reads.

When lawyers confronted Mavani about the alleged scheme, he allegedly denied any wrongdoing and described himself as a “bonafide” buyer.

“It is believed that [Mavani] knew much more than that to which he admitted,” the complaint states.

Mavani’s allegedly already resold some of the stolen purses.

“[Mavani] was entirely pleased with himself for participating in the fleecing of a vulnerable, sick senior citizen,” the complaint claims.

Attorneys for Whittington, Mavani and Kent did not return requests for comment.
