A controversial livestreamer known for spewing racial slurs on camera allegedly shot a man during a chaotic confrontation outside of a Tennessee courthouse on Wednesday afternoon.
Montgomery County District Attorney General Robert Nash said that Dalton Eatherly, better known as “Chud the Builder” online, opened fire during a dispute near a courthouse around 1:15 p.m. local time, ClarksvilleNow reported.
The victim was medically evacuated by LifeFlight and is in stable condition, according to a news release from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Eatherly, 28, also suffered what’s been described as a “graze” wound and Nash said it appears he accidentally shot himself during the mayhem.
The influencer admitted to shooting an unidentified victim on his livestream, arguing he did so in self-defense.
Eatherly said the man threatened to hit him if he started boasting the racist ideologies that are a hallmark of his channel.
“He hit me, he started wailing on me, even after I had to defend myself by shooting him, he’s still wailing on me,” Eatherly recounted to emergency responders on his livestream.
Then, Eatherly bizarrely tried to pin blame on “rich people” goading strangers into harming him.
“They’re all publicly saying ‘if y’all assault this guy, we’ll make you rich’. The f–k,” he said.

“I wish he had just walked away, man,” he added.
Eatherly was detained at the scene and is in stable condition at a local hospital, the sheriff’s office said.
Eatherly was supposed to appear at court on Wednesday afternoon for a civil case, where he is being sued by a debt and credit collector, according to court documents obtained by ClarksvilleNow.
The self-described “free speech patriot” was arrested last Friday for allegedly harassing strangers at an upscale steakhouse in Nashville. He reportedly began shouting racial slurs at the restaurant before announcing he would not pay his $400 bill even after polishing off the entire meal.
Eatherly is best known for similarly antagonistic outbursts during livestreams on PumpFun – a lesser-used cryptocurrency platform.
He often wanders around public spaces harassing total strangers, frequently targeting black people and mocking them by imitating monkey noises and calling them “chimps” or the n-word.
Eatherly has also repeatedly threatened to deploy bear-mace on those he “rage-baits,” as captured in several of his livestreams.
Hours after he posted bond on Saturday, Eatherly shared a disturbing clip from his livestream at the steakhouse where he taunts a driver in the street, mocking him with monkey calls while using a racial slur.
He was charged with theft of services, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest for his stunt at the steakhouse.
