Damian Lillard endured quite the blast from his past Monday during the Bucks’ media day.
When fielding questions from reporters at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Lillard was asked about the time rapper GloRilla shot her shot with him at NBA All-Star weekend in February.
The Bucks point guard — who laughed when asked, “Are you giving that any kind of action?” — explained nothing is going on between him and the “Wanna Be” artist.
“I’m weak. That is hilarious,” Lillard said. “Naw… you know, I keep my personal life personal and I let it be that.
“I respect her as an artist. We know each other. She’s an artist. I’m an artist.
“But as far as anything goes, it ain’t nothing going on. That’s what I can tell you.”
Lillard, also a rapper, handled the curious moment well.
A female Bucks employee, standing at the podium overseeing the press conference, also laughed.
The reporter went on to rap a lyric from Glo Rilla’s song, “TGIF.”
GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, had the internet buzzing when she posted a photo with Lillard during the NBA All-Star festivities earlier this year.
“Whoever she is can’t whoop me so I really dgaf,” GloRilla wrote on X at the time.
Lillard, the 2024 MVP of the All-Star Game, said he had “no comment” when asked about the matter by TMZ in March.
GloRilla then played coy when Shannon Sharpe asked her about seemingly pursuing Lillard in April.
“You shot with the most Steph Curry shot, did it go in?” Sharpe said while interviewing GloRilla on his “Club Shay Shay” podcast.
“The half-court shot? At the end of the day, the day gon’ end,” she said, laughing.
GloRilla’s post about Lillard came after he filed for divorce from his wife, Kay’La, after two years of marriage on Oct. 2, 2023.
His divorce filing also came less than a week after he was traded from the Trail Blazers to the Bucks following 11 seasons in Portland.
The college sweethearts, who wed in 2021, share three children: son Damian Jr., 5, and 3-year-old twins, daughter Kali and son Kalii.
In April, Kay’La poked fun at GloRilla’s DUI arrest in Gwinnett County, Ga.
At the time, she re-shared a photo of GloRilla’s apparent mugshot with the caption, “FreeGloLillard” with a crying laughing emoji and the hashtag, “sister wife.”
The Bucks open the season against the 76ers in Philadelphia on Oct. 23.
