A daredevil was spotted strolling across the suspension cables of the Brooklyn Bridge on Wednesday evening — prompting a massive rescue mission and shuttering part of the historic span to traffic during rush hour.
Terrifying video obtained by The Post captured a man walking across the steel cables from a towering pillar on the bridge just before 7:40 p.m.
The rescue effort remains ongoing as of Wednesday night, with members of the NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit attempting to establish dialogue with the climber.
All eastbound lanes of the bridge heading toward Brooklyn are closed due to the ongoing activity, cops said.
