The celebrations in New Orleans continued this week as the Saints surged to a 2-0 start.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, Heather Carr – the wife of Saints starting quarterback Derek Carr – gave followers an intimate look at a luncheon for the ladies of the team.
Featuring a band, a bracelet station and an abundance of black and gold balloons, the women of the NFC South franchise mingled with one another during the lively afternoon.
“Love this special group of ladies,” Heather gushed in her Instagram caption. “We are so blessed to be a part of it.”
The Carrs are entering their second season in New Orleans after the former Raiders quarterback agreed to a four-year, $150 million deal with the team in March 2023.
Carr, 33, spent the first nine seasons of his NFL career with the Raiders, who selected him in the second round of the 2014 draft.
In his first year with the Saints, Carr threw for 3,878 yards, 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions as New Orleans finished the regular season at 9-8 and missed the playoffs.
There appears to be no sophomore Saints slump for Carr thus far, as he’s tossed five touchdowns against one interception through two contests.
The Saints rolled past the Panthers and Cowboys, respectively, to open the season and hope to keep their win streak alive on Sunday against the Eagles.
Philadelphia (1-1) lost its home opener to the Falcons (1-1) on “Monday Night Football” and will be without star wide receiver A.J. Brown versus the Saints due to a hamstring injury.
When the Saints kick off Sunday afternoon at the Caesars Superdome, it’s likely Carr’s biggest supporters will be nearby.
Heather, who has been married to the quarterback since 2012, was in attendance for New Orleans’ home opener on Sept. 8, along with the couple’s young children.
“WHO DAT,” she exclaimed on social media following the team’s blowout 47-10 win over the Panthers.
