Disney is cutting up to 200 jobs in its Experiences division, with the bulk of the layoffs reportedly hitting its Imagineering campus in Glendale as the entertainment giant reassesses its priorities and investments.

The cuts affect the business behind Disney’s theme parks, resorts and cruise lines, according to Deadline and the Los Angeles Times.

Affected employees were expected to be notified by the end of the day Wednesday, according to the report. The layoffs are limited to the Experiences division, rather than extending across the company.

The job cuts come as Disney’s marquee attractions continue to pull in millions of visitors, with attendance figures showing mixed results across its biggest parks.

Disneyland Park in Anaheim welcomed 17.4 million guests, up 0.4%, securing the No. 2 spot among theme parks worldwide, according to the Themed Entertainment Association.

Neighboring Disney California Adventure also posted a 0.4% increase, drawing 10.1 million visitors.

Florida’s Magic Kingdom retained its crown as the world’s most-visited theme park, attracting 17.8 million guests in 2025. But attendance there slipped 0.2%.

The numbers matter to Disney’s bottom line.

Analysts closely monitor attendance because the Experiences division plays a central role in the company’s financial performance, the Times reported.

Despite the crowds at its flagship attractions, Disney is reviewing how it allocates investments and manages project timelines.

Neither report identified specific projects affected by the review or detailed the reasons behind individual job cuts.
