Elite $55K-a-year private school rocked as teacher accused of gross behavior on campus

A teacher at a prestigious private academy in Calabasas that counts President Trump’s daughter as a graduate has been arrested for inappropriate behavior at the $55,000-a-year school’s campus.

Travis Shojinaga, 39, a 10-year veteran of the Viewpoint School, was arrested Wednesday on felony charges and is currently being held at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station.

The school announced in a statement to parents that a faculty member had been fired for “inappropriate behavior that occurred on campus” and that it did not involve physical contact.

A spokesperson for Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station could not provide specific details, noting that the case involved children.

Shojinaga worked at the Viewpoint School for more than a decade, according to his Facebook profile.

“Immediately upon learning of the allegations, our Administrators and Campus Safety and Security team launched an investigation and notified the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s Lost Hills Station,” Viewpoint Head of School Mark McKee said in a letter to parents.

“The employee was subsequently taken into custody, and his employment has been terminated.”

The academy added that it was working with law enforcement and would conduct its own investigation with an outside party.

Alumni of the Viewpoint School include President Trump’s youngest daughter, Tiffany, and former NBA player Miye Oni.

In his statement, McKee offered counseling to students and encouraged them to come forward if they had any concerns.

“We understand this situation is deeply upsetting. We will be making resources, including counseling, available for anyone in our community who may need support. We are doing everything we can to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment for our students and the broader Viewpoint community,” he wrote.
