That’s gotta burn.

Elon Musk’s younger brother resigned from Burning Man’s board of directors as his ties to Jeffrey Epstein were revealed.

Kimbal Musk, 53, who had served on the desert festival’s board since 2021, found himself in hot water when the Department of Justice dropped documents last week linking him to the convicted pedophile.

The DOJ released about 3 million pages of documents, in which Kimbal is referenced 140 times in emails exchanged between Epstein and his associates.

An open letter from the Burning Man community on RemoveKimbal.org called for the board to demand transparency regarding his position, arguing that association with the disgraced financier did not align with the organization’s values.

“We recognize that inclusion in the Epstein files does not constitute proof of criminal conduct; however, the documented pattern of association with a convicted sex offender raises serious questions about judgment and values that the Burning Man community deserves to have addressed,” the letter stated.

Festival CEO Marian Goodell wrote in an email prior to the documents’ release that Kimbal was “no longer a board member,” according to the San Francisco Standard.

“Kimbal and I spoke almost two weeks ago, and he chose not to continue his board service. He sent in his letter to the board last week,” Goodell wrote in a Wednesday email to an artist who requested their work be pulled from grant consideration at the Nevada festival due to Kimbal’s links to Epstein.

“We don’t announce additions and departures to the board. Kimbal was there to represent Elon’s donation in 2021. He was never on the website by his choice, and he is no longer a board member,” Goodall continued.

Burning Man, the annual weeklong, community-driven event in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert, is scheduled to kick off in late August.
