Her tell-all has the mayoral seal of approval.
Mayor Eric Adams surprisingly recommended his ex-girlfriend Jasmine Ray’s new memoir juicily detailing their decade-old secret relationship.
Hizzoner praised Ray — whom he had appointed as the city’s first sports czar, a $160,000-a-year gig — for her self-published “Political Humanity,” which provides readers a peek into the corridors of City Hall.
“Jas has always led with integrity,” he wrote in a post on X Thursday. “Writing this book wasn’t easy, but she wanted people to understand the work, the mission, and the human side behind the headlines.
“I respect her for that and I enjoyed reading it. I hope all will read the book.”
Ray, 42, unflinchingly addresses her unrequited love for Adams, 65, in the memoir — even after their two-year relationship ended in 2016.
She also exposed secrets about his elusive private life.
The book revealed Adams’ heartbreak after former Mayor Michael Bloomberg endorsed Andrew Cuomo in this year’s mayoral election, as well as shockingly intimate moments Ray shared with the then-Brooklyn borough president — such as how she’d rub a scar on the back of his head “for hours” to calm him down.
The former sports czar also lambasted what she considered a double standard for how prominent black politicians such as Adams are treated, even as she acknowledged that the mayor surrounded himself with cronies who weren’t fit to serve in City Hall.
The book came out shortly after Adams announced he’d drop out of New York City’s mayoral race.
Adams shouldn’t have given up his re-election bid, which was imperiled by his historic corruption case, Ray told The Post in an interview last week.
“I think he made a mistake by quitting,” she said. “I think the city made a mistake by turning their back on him.”
The mayor hadn’t publicly disclosed his past romance with Ray before her book was announced.
He has been in a year-long relationship with his girlfriend Tracey Collins — a matter that wasn’t discussed in Ray’s book.
