Erin Andrews is trying to find a work-life balance.
The Fox Sports NFL sideline reporter explained that her husband, Jarret Stoll, a retired hockey player who won two Stanley Cup championships with the Los Angeles Kings, would prefer if they lived a private life, especially when it comes to their fertility journey.
“My husband would rather we not be so public — me not be so public,” Andrews, 46, told Success magazine in an interview published on Friday.
Andrews, whose broadcasting career and WEAR clothing line helped propel her to celebrity status, had a nine-year in vitro fertilization (IVF) journey.
She went public with it as she began her seventh round of IVF in 2021.
“He was just like, ‘Why do we have to say this?’” Andrews recalled Stoll saying at the time. “And I said, ‘Because these waiting rooms are packed.’”
Andrews, who became a voice on women’s health issues, previously said she spoke out about their fertility struggles because no one was talking about it and it wasn’t something to be ashamed of.
“I just said, ‘This sucks. This just absolutely sucks! And I am so sick of sticking myself with needles and going in there and having a happy face and not telling anyone about it,’” Andrews recalled.
In July 2023, the couple welcomed their first child, son Mack Roger Stoll, via a surrogate.
It’s nearly impossible for Andrews, who has 2.2 million Instagram followers, to escape the spotlight as one of the top sports broadcasters — which includes working alongside Tom Brady.
The former quarterback signed a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox Sports to be its No. 1 NFL game analyst alongside Kevin Burkhardt in 2022.
“I talked about it on a walk with my husband last night as we were walking our dog — we’ve got a lot going on,” Andrews said while discussing the idea of a work-life balance.
“Plus it’s a Super Bowl year. We have Tom Brady on our broadcasting crew this year. So it’s going to be a lot.”
Andrews and Stoll tied the knot in June 2017, six months after she announced that she had been diagnosed with cervical cancer in September 2016.
The former “Dancing With the Stars” host underwent a successful surgery following her diagnosis.
Andrews, who is currently cancer-free, is candid about her health and the couple’s personal life on her “Calm Down” podcast, which she co-hosts with her best friend and fellow Fox Sports host, Charissa Thompson.
