Former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is divorcing her cross-dressing husband Bryon, the ex-South Dakota governor’s mother claimed in a new interview.
“It has been difficult, but we knew this was coming, that they were going to get divorced,” Corinne Arnold told the Daily Mail at her home next door to the ranch where the Noems lived and raised three children.
Arnold said that her daughter confided her plans in late spring — not long after photos surfaced of Bryon, 56, wearing enormous fake breasts while chatting with a fetish performer.
It’s unclear if Kristi Noem, who has allegedly carried on a years-long affair with former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, changed her mind in recent months, and no divorce filings have surfaced.
Arnold said that she learned the news when the whole family went to the birthday party of the scandal-plagued couple’s grandchild.
‘She doesn’t tell me what she thinks. Finally, I said: ‘What’s the deal? Are you going to get together again?’ And she said: ‘No. No. We’re going to get a divorce,’” Noem’s mother told the Mail.
“And I said: ‘Who is your lawyer?’ And she said it was somebody from Sioux Falls.”
The outlet reported in late March that Bryon Noem chatted up women from the so-called “bimbofication” fetish scene, in which adult performers augment their breasts with massive amounts of saline to achieve a “Barbie doll”-like appearance — and even indulged in the trend himself.
President Trump fired Noem from her DHS job March 5, shortly before the embarrassing disclosure.
The “final straw” for Trump was Noem’s performance at a congressional hearing one day earlier, where she refused to answer a point-blank question about whether rumors she had “sexual relations” with Lewandowski, administration sources told The Post.

Her non-denial — after Byron, her husband of 34 years, joined her in the hearing room — was widely seen as an admission of infidelity.
Noem’s mother insisted, however, that she wasn’t having an affair with Lewandowski.
“Kristi would never do that,” she claimed. “That’s not how I brought my kids up. And Corey’s got his own wonderful family and little kids.”
Trump also was frustrated that Noem claimed that he approved a $220 million DHS ad campaign starring the secretary herself, sources said.
