The Falcons have cleaned house, firing head coach Raheem Morris and general manager Terry Fontenot hours after winning their regular-season finale over the Saints, the team announced on Sunday.
Morris was fired after two underwhelming seasons as head coach in Atlanta and Fontenot was relieved from a post he’s held since 2021.
The decision by Falcons owner Arthur Blank came ahead of the first Monday after the regular season ends, when coaches and front office executives are usually terminated.

A report on NFL Network earlier in the day on Sunday suggested Blank was still evaluating Morris and Fontenot.
The Falcons finished the season 8-9, but did win four straight games to close out the year. Morris was 16-18 with no playoff appearances.
