The blaze comes as Southern California grapples with a turbulent stretch of weather, with rain, gusty winds and coastal flooding affecting the region as moisture associated with former Tropical Cyclone Rachel moves through.

The National Weather Service warned of continued showers and potentially powerful wind gusts in mountain areas and the Antelope Valley, while coastal flooding concerns are expected to persist into Tuesday.
