Journalist Don Lemon was federally charged Friday with conspiracy to deprive rights and interfering with First Amendment rights, according to Department of Homeland Security officials.
Lemon was arrested by federal agents in Los Angeles early Friday for his alleged involvement with a group of anti-ICE protesters who stormed a Minnesota church during a Sunday service earlier this month.
The charges were first reported by NewsNation.
He is expected to appear in court in Los Angeles Friday morning.
