A passenger was caught trying to smuggle more than $1.27 million worth of drugs from Thailand to India — hidden inside cookie and rice packets.

Customs officers intercepted the Indian national, who was on a flight from from Bangkok, at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, on Feb 21.

Upon arrival, the passenger’s black trolley bag was sent for X-ray screening, where officers discovered eight food packages concealing a green-colored substance suspected to be marijuana.

The 24 pound haul was worth a total of $1.3 million.

A video shows officials opening the seemingly ordinary food packets to reveal multiple tightly wrapped plastic bundles filled with the suspected narcotic.

The passenger was immediately detained and an investigation is underway.
