Former USC star safety and current ESPN LA 710 radio host Su’a Cravens revealed why he was absent from Sunday’s radio show.

At 8:26 p.m. on Sunday, Cravens revealed on X that when he was on his way to work, he had to pull over to the side of the road and started “barfing profusely” and was later diagnosed with vertigo.

Sorry to my ESPN LA family and listeners about missing today’s show… I spent most of my day in the hospital. Was literally 3 miles away from SoFi this morning on my way to work before I had to pull over and started barfing profusely on the side of the road before almost passing…

After a brief two-year career in the NFL, playing for Washington and Denver, Cravens has been on a new journey, working in sports media.

The former 2015 second-team All-American got his start behind the broadcast desk when he worked as a sports analyst on the CBS show, “Sports Central,” in 2022, where he worked alongside legendary Los Angeles sports broadcaster Jim Hill.

Cravens was with CBS for three years until he started to branch out, working as a social analyst at the Big Ten Network, and his current gig at ESPN in August 2025.
