A man was swept away by floodwaters in San Bernardino Tuesday after clinging to the top of his truck, leading to a frantic rescue effort.
The man had been sitting on the roof of the vehicle in the Devore neighborhood as heavy rains again pounded Southern California late Tuesday night, according to the San Bernardino County Fire department.

As rescue crews arrived shortly before 11:30 p.m, the man was carried away by the rushing water.
Crews had to stop searching for the man after two hours due to the weather.

They resumed the search on Wednesday morning.
