Giants report card from Week 13 loss to Patriots: A total failure

Grading the Giants’ 33-15 road loss to the Patriots on Monday night.

Offense

Jaxson Dart looked unsure of himself at the start, as far as knowing when to be aggressive and when to protect himself after missing two games with a concussion. He needed to get out of bounds rather than get blasted by LB Christian Elliss. Dart’s lone TD pass was a nice adjustment at the line of scrimmage, leading to a 30-yarder to Darius Slayton. TE Theo Johnson could have hauled in a ball in the end zone in the second quarter. Devin Singletary had a 22-yard scoring run. Line did not give Dart as much time as it has in past games.

Grade: F

Defense

Drake Maye (24-of-31, 282 yards, 2 TDs) did what he pleased, barely touched in the pocket. His TD lob to Kayshon Boutte over the reach of CB Cor’Dale Flott was a thing of beauty. Bobby Okereke made two red-zone stops to force the Pats to settle for a field goal on their opening drive. Rookie Kyle Williams beat CB Paulson Adebo on a 33-yard scoring strike. The run game of TreVeyon Henderson and Rhamondre Stevenson was held in check early but faded late.
