After the big World Cup tournament in June and July, you might think the summer of soccer is over, right? Wrong! If this summer opened your eyes to the beautiful game (or as we know it here: soccer, not football!), now might be the time to get into the top flight of association football in England: the Premier League.
The Premier League season kicks off today, August 21, with Arsenal vs. Coventry City. The tables have been wiped clean and three new teams (Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City) are joining the fold after being promoted from the Championship.
In addition to a 380-game season that runs through May 2027, a handful of top Premier League teams will be in action elsewhere throughout the season, competing in association football tournaments across Europe (UEFA Champions League and Europa League) and within the English football system (FA Cup).
Arsenal is entering the season as the defending champion and is considered a heavy favorite to repeat this year.
Premier League streaming in the USA: What to know
In the United States, NBC Sports holds all of the broadcasting rights to Premier League matches. Matches will air on Peacock or one of NBCUniversal’s networks (most often USA Network).
If the game is airing on USA Network (or one of NBC’s overflow networks, including CNBC, Golf Channel and Syfy), it’ll only become available for Peacock subscribers to stream the following day.
If the game is airing on Peacock, that means you won’t be able to watch it anywhere else, but sometimes NBC’s flagship network will air a match and those are also live on Peacock.
Since match days are often full, with up to 10 happening at once, Peacock also has multi-view streams that allow viewers to tune into more than one match at a time.
How to watch Premier League in the USA

Where to watch Premier League in the USA for free
