Our first real look at the 2026-27 New York Jets will come tonight as the team plays its preseason opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
On Tuesday, the teams first took the field at the same time in a joint practice that quickly turned heated as punches were thrown and the sidelines cleared as helmets were ripped off.
After the joint practice, Jets head coach Aaron Glenn, now in his second year with the team, confirmed that “everybody’s playing” in tonight’s game, meaning he intends to play all of the team’s starters.
With a handful of fresh players and play callers, these new look Jets will take the field tonight with Geno Smith at quarterback, rookie and No. 2 draft pick pass rusher David Bailey and veteran defenders Demario Davis and Minkah Fitzpatrick.
