No one has an introduction to Instagram quite like Bill Belichick.
Hours after making his grand debut on the platform Wednesday, the eight-time Super Bowl winner received welcome messages from 23-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson and his former quarterback, Tom Brady, who poked fun at the social media move.
“Alright guys, party’s over, Bill’s here,” Brady joked in an Instagram video shared Thursday. “It was a good run, but we got to shut it down. Welcome, coach.”
Brady, now preparing for his first season as an NFL commentator, won six Super Bowls alongside Belichick, 72, in New England over the course of 20 seasons.
The future Hall of Fame quarterback left the Patriots in 2020 and won what would be his final Super Bowl in 2021 as a member of the Buccaneers.
Brady, 47, officially retired from the NFL in 2023, breaking the news on social media.
As for Hudson, whose relationship with Belichick was first revealed in June, she celebrated the legendary coach’s decision to join Instagram with a playful post of her own.
“This is my formal petition for @BillBelichick to change his handle to @ BillyGoat !! 🐐,” Hudson wrote Wednesday. “Welcome to the ‘Gram, Billy!!!!”
Belichick “liked” the post from Hudson, a former college cheerleader, and re-shared it on his Instagram Story.
“I am going to leave the ‘Billy-Goating’ to the @bill.t.goat at @usnavalacademy,” he wrote.
Belichick has been keeping busy following his departure from the Patriots in January after 24 seasons.
He appears weekly on “The Pat McAfee Show” and will be featured on the “ManningCast” — ESPN’s alternative “Monday Night Football” program with Eli and Peyton Manning — among other media opportunities.
Belichick interviewed for the Falcons’ head coaching vacancy during this NFL hiring cycle, with Raheem Morris ultimately landing the job.
