One of football’s biggest rivalries returns this weekend.
On Sunday, Sept. 29, the Green Bay Packers are taking on the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field.
Going into this week four matchup, Matt LaFleur’s Packers sit at 2-1 after back-to-back wins over the Colts and Titans behind the surprising play of replacement quarterback Malik Willis who stepped up in Jordan Love’s absence.
“I cannot articulate the job that he’s done in a short period of time,” LaFleur said. “People can’t fathom that, I promise you.”
As for Kevin O’Connell’s Vikings, his squad is currently perched atop the NFC North with a sparkling 3-0 record thanks to Sam Darnold, Justin Jefferson and former Packer Aaron Jones.
The Purple People Eaters may have trouble this weekend though, now that starting QB Love is projected to get some snaps in.
According to Sports Illustrated, the 25-year-old “practiced on Wednesday and seemingly is on a trajectory to play in Sunday’s NFC North showdown against the Minnesota Vikings.”
If you want to be there to root Love on in his first home game this season or possibly Willis in his second — and the Packers to their third consecutive victory — last-minute tickets are still available.
