Portugal, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, started off on the wrong foot when they settled for a 1-1 draw against the Democratic Republic of the Congo. But the team was able to rally against Uzbekistan, winning 5-0, still having a chance to win the group.
Colombia, on the other hand, started with a World Cup debutant, Uzbekistan, beating them 3-1. In the next match, Colombia squeaked by the DR Congo with 1-0 to put them in pole position to win the group.
That brings us to this game. If Colombia beats or ties Portugal, they will win the group. But if Ronaldo and Portugal can make it back-to-back wins, then Portugal will sit atop.
