The Minnesota husband of a woman convicted of sexually assaulting two 15-year-old hockey players she met in a hotel hot tub during a family “staycation” has astonishingly chosen to stand by his wife despite her sick crimes.
Allison Schardin’s husband, Anthony, revealed that they’re still married and trying to fly “under the radar” months after she landed on the sex offender registry for having sex with the two teens while a third watched in January 2024, the Daily Mail reported.
When asked by the outlet whether the couple was still together, Anthony calmly replied, “Yes.”
“We’re trying to stay under the radar about all that,” the 52-year-old added.
Shardin, 40, dodged prison and was sentenced in January 2025 to two weekends in jail, community service and five years of probation after pleading guilty to third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Prosecutors said the Blaine mother of two was staying at a Roseville hotel with her husband and kids on Jan. 14, 2024, when she met the two teen athletes, who were traveling from Colorado with their team, and struck up a conversation in the hot tub, according to a complaint obtained by Law & Crime.
While soaking with the two boys, she opened up about her marital issues with Anthony – and later exchanged contact information with the victims after her husband yelled down to her, “If you don’t come upstairs, our relationship is over,” the complaint states.
Schardin later sent one of the boys a Snapchat message asking if she could come to his room after getting into a fight with her hubby.
She allegedly told the boys they were young enough to be her kids, but then pressured them into sex acts with her while a third boy watched, according to the complaint.
“You already have a 38-year-old woman, a female in your bed, don’t you want to do more,” the sex fiend said, according to one of the victims, who told police they did not know how to “say no.”
After the encounter, Schardin allegedly tracked the boys to a rink where they were playing the next day, leaving them “nervous” and describing her actions as “really creepy,” the complaint said.
She continued texting the boys when they went home, begging them not to tell authorities about what had happened and apologizing – before eventually admitting her twisted crimes to investigators.
Court records obtained by the Daily Mail showed Anthony filed for divorce in December 2023 – just four weeks before his depraved wife carried out the sickening acts.
The couple reportedly jointly petitioned to have the case moved to inactive status in April 2024 — six weeks after Schardin’s arrest — and the case was eventually dismissed a year later.
