It’s a gift of Christmas past.
An Illinois man remodeling his childhood home found a Christmas gift in a wall with his name on it – 46 years after it was first wrapped.
Tim King, 53, discovered the faded Disney-themed wrapped gift behind a bathroom wall while he was helping his parents with a home renovation project a few short days after Christmas, he documented in a video shared to Instagram on Dec. 27.
“When I pulled that out, it was super old wrapping paper,” King said, KTLA5 reported.
“Then I was like, ‘Oh crap, that has my name on it.’”
In a follow-up video, which has since received nearly 37,000 likes, King opened the holiday present revealing a set of Matchbox Thunder Jets – a model airplane set made in the 1970s – as “Danger Zone” played in the background.
King, owner of TKING Construction Services in Lombard, said he opened the gift in front of his mother, who had no memory of ever buying the children’s toy, the outlet reported.
The contractor believes the decades-old gift was purchased in 1978 when he was six years old and fell into the wall shortly after his parents stashed their holiday presents in the attic.
“I would have been 6,” he told the outlet.
“So that is pretty awesome.”
