President Biden will sit for a live interview on daytime talk show “The View,” becoming the first sitting commander in chief to do so, co-host Whoopi Goldberg announced Monday.

“We have some wonderful news,” Goldberg said on Monday’s program.

“This Wednesday, we are honored to have the sitting President of the United States Joe Biden, [who] will be live on The View with us,” she revealed, calling it a “historic announcement.”

“Let us not forget, he is still President of the United States of America,” Goldberg reminded the studio audience.

Biden’s appearance on the ABC show will be the first by a sitting president since former President Barack Obama’s  July 2010 visit to the program, which was pre-taped.

The 81-year-old president’s upcoming in-studio visit will mark his tenth appearance on the long-running program aimed at women, which began airing in 1997.

In a press release, ABC said Biden is expected to discuss “his legacy, including the administration’s accomplishments, his hopes for the remaining months in the White House, and the state of the 2024 campaign.”

Biden will be joined on the New York City set of “The View” by Goldberg and her fellow co-hosts Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro.
