Vice President Kamala Harris got caught on a hot mic admitting her campaign needs to work on appealing to male voters during a campaign stop over the weekend.

Harris, 60, was sitting at a bar with Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in Kalamazoo Saturday when she seemed to have forgotten they were surrounded by microphones and cameras, according to footage posted to social media.

“We need to move ground among men,” Harris appeared to tell Witmer over beers at the Trak Houz Bar and Grill.

The Democratic nominee then looks up and realizes that they are being recorded by cameras and microphones.

“Oh, we have microphones in here listening to everything. I didn’t realize that,” Harris says as she turns around while pointing around the room. “OK. So now you’ll tell us.”

“You’ll bleep my F words,” Whitmer jokes.

“We just told all the family secrets. S–t,” Harris says laughing.

Many on social media theorized that the “hot mic” moment was staged as a corny joke considering the governor and vice president were both wearing mics clipped onto their clothing and surrounded by boom mics, cameras and reporters for a photo-op.

Even so, Harris’ campaign does need to make up ground on grabbing male voters.

The vice president lags behind former President Donald Trump, 78, significantly among men.

Trump leads Harris 55% to 41% among male voters in the latest New York Times/Siena College poll published less than two weeks before Election Day.

Harris has a slightly narrower lead among the opposite sex. She takes 54% of female voters to Trump’s 42%, according to the poll.

The poll, which was conducted from Oct. 20 to 23 among 2,516 registered voters nationwide, has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.2 percentage points.

It also revealed that the 2024 election is largely a toss-up. Harris and Trump each received 48% support among likely voters, locking the candidates in a dead heat as early voting has already begun in many states.

A spokesperson for the Harris campaign did not return a request for comment.
