The Knicks hit the All-Star break in a very reasonable, somewhat satisfactory position.

They’re on pace for 52 wins, or one more than last season, which is hardly fantastic but enough to pacify the doomsters.

They restructured the starting lineup, won a tournament in Vegas, remade their defense (twice), shifted their bench rotation and experienced the roller coaster of impressive winning streaks and an alarming losing stretch.

Most importantly, they celebrated Valentine’s Day among the favorites for the NBA Finals.
