Knicks have never seen OG Anunoby quite like this

OG Anunoby is a man of few words.

He prefers to let his play do the talking.

This postseason, he has been quite loud.

The most consistent Knicks player in the first round, Anunoby continued his masterful play in Monday night’s Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Anunoby was active, efficient and at his best during the 137-98 rout of the 76ers at the Garden.

“I think I work on my game very hard, and my teammates are finding me,” Anunoby said. “I think I’m just playing the way I expect to play.”

Anunoby took eight shots and made seven of them.

He sank both of his 3-point attempts.

He scored 18 points and was plus-22 in 30 minutes.

He just isn’t missing lately.

In the last three games, Anunoby is 23-for-30 and 8-for-11 from distance.

This came after an opening round in which he averaged 21.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.8 steals and shot an incredible 56.7 percent from 3-point range on five attempts.

When the Knicks were struggling early in the series against the Hawks, he was a two-way constant.

“I think [it’s] the way he’s been able to create space, the way he’s been attacking,” Jalen Brunson said. “Those things have been a key factor for him. Obviously, he’s knocking down shot after shot. He’s just playing real aggressive, really downhill. … He’s creating havoc, and he’s making good decisions.”

When Anunoby meets the media, he tends to be short with his answers.

After Game 1 against the Hawks, Anunoby said he had to get better in “everything.”

That hasn’t changed, despite his standout postseason up to this point. He’s searching for another level.

“There’s still room for improvement on both sides,” Anunoby said. “Never be satisfied. You always want to improve.”
