A breakfast run at a Los Angeles Wendy’s turned into a wild chair-swinging brawl when a knife-wielding customer squared off with another diner in a confrontation caught on video.

The armed man was arrested Wednesday after the chaotic clash at a Northridge restaurant, where a man in a baseball cap threatened to fight him as employees scrambled to intervene.

“You gonna stab me? I’ll kill you dawg. Let’s go,” the man in the hat can be heard shouting in a video of the confrontation.

The man then grabbed a chair and threatened to swing it on the knife-wielding customer. Workers inside the restaurant repeatedly told the man to “put it down,” to which he responded by saying, “He pulled a knife on me.”

The confrontation escalated when the armed customer grabbed a chair of his own, with the two men hurling furniture at each other inside the fast-food joint.

The armed man was eventually detained, but the man in the baseball cap allegedly started the confrontation after first arguing with the workers according to a witness.

“The customer was still talking to the employees, arguing with them. And then that’s when he decided to come up to the couple that was minding their own business, eating their breakfast. And he got into the guy that was eating his breakfast; he got into that guy’s face,” witness Jesus Lepit told KTLA 5.

Following his arrest, the man with the hat was seen explaining to police what had happened.
